PawSafe ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Order information: name, shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details (processed by Shopify — we don't store full card numbers).
  • Pet profile information: the content you add to your pet's profile, such as photo, name, breed, medical notes, and the contact info you choose to display.
  • Scan events: when someone scans your tag we may record approximate location, time, and device type so we can notify you and improve the service.
  • Website usage: standard analytics such as pages viewed, referrer, device, and IP address.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email or through the site.

2. How we use information

  • To fulfill orders and ship products.
  • To operate the QR tag and pet profile service.
  • To send transactional messages (order confirmations, scan alerts) and, with your consent, marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
  • To improve the site, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

3. What's public on a scan

Only the information you choose to make visible on your pet's profile is shown when the tag is scanned. Your phone number is not displayed publicly — finders contact you through a secure relay. You can edit or hide profile details at any time.

4. Sharing your information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business (e.g. Shopify for orders and payments, Klaviyo for email, analytics and hosting providers), bound by confidentiality.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, secure the site, and measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as expected.

6. Data retention

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes. Pet profile data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Email support@pawsafe.live and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, vetted vendors) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. International users

PawSafe is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when the latest version took effect.
